Arthrex Announces Opening of Logistics Center in Lee County

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NAPLES, FL – February 29, 2012 – Arthrex has announced the opening of the Arthrex Logistics Center (ALC) in Lee County.   The ALC is part of Arthrex’s first phase of expansion in Southwest Florida that will provide hundreds of new jobs for residents and lead Florida in non-seasonal, high-wage, high-tech job creation for the next three to five years.

“We are excited to officially be part of the Lee County business community,” said David Bumpous, director of operations at ALC.  “We appreciate the support and assistance of the Lee County Commissioners and community leaders who have made Arthrex feel so welcomed.”

Arthrex announced its plans to expand into Lee County in August 2011 with the purchase of a 240,000 square foot facility off Daniels Parkway.  The facility would consolidate existing warehouse, packaging and distribution capacities to a central location near Southwest Florida International Airport to best service U.S. and global surgeon and hospital customers and their patients.

“We commend the many Arthrex employees who worked together so diligently and accomplished a significant move to the new location and environment without missing a single order,” Bumpous added.   Arthrex’s first phase of expansion in Southwest Florida also includes the building of a 160,000 square foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on Oil Well Road near Ave Maria in eastern Collier County.  Both facilities will further stimulate the Southwest Florida construction industry with renovations to the ALC facility and new construction of the Oil Well Road facility.

Arthrex will host a grand opening event for the ALC facility once renovations are fully completed in April.
