Arthrex SynergyHD3 Revolutionizes the Endoscopic Market

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NAPLES, FL – February 6, 2012 – Arthrex launched its new imaging platform, SynergyHD3, at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) meeting in San Francisco, CA.  This revolutionary system integrates three components -- the latest technology in high definition cameras, LED lighting, and an image management system --  into one console with an intuitive tablet interface.

“SynergyHD3 is truly a revolutionary system that breaks new barriers in endoscopic image management and patient education,” said Steve Jones, Director of Business Development.  “We are pleased to be at the forefront of this market segment, and to introduce new technology that represents a significant departure from what has been available for many years.”

Until now, the three components that comprise SynergyHD3 have been available only as separate systems, which could make set-up in the operating room somewhat cumbersome.  SynergyHD3’s intuitive tablet interface networks the components together and greatly simplifies use.  With one push of a button, the system is activated and fully loaded with the surgeon’s individual preferences and surgical case information.  In addition, it allows authorized remote viewers to access live streaming videos via the Internet from any location.

SynergyHD3 further enhances a surgeon’s experience with an iPad application, which provides the tools to easily manage stills, video recordings and patient education.  Utilizing an iPad, surgeons can review, edit, and annotate stills and video recordings that are immediately downloaded from the SynergyHD3 system.  Additionally, the application features a series of customizable documents for a surgeon to create and instantly transmit an educational postoperative report to the patient.

SynergyHD3 is designed and produced by Arthrex’s new subsidiary Arthrex California Technology (ACT) in Santa Barbara, CA.
