Arthrex Celebrates 10 Years of Arthrex Manufacturing, Inc.

Arthrex marked a significant milestone in the company’s history with the 10-year anniversary celebration of Arthrex Manufacturing, Inc. (AMI).  In conjunction with the celebration, Arthrex also recognized 50 AMI employees with 10 years of service.

“Arthrex is keeping our country competitive by exporting our quality products, that are designed and made in America, to over 100 countries around the world,” said Reinhold Schmieding, Arthrex founder and president.  “This reduces our trade deficit, improves our economy, and helps people maintain their health and well-being around the world.”

AMI is a subsidiary of the Arthrex, Inc., a world leader in new product development and medical education in orthopaedics.  AMI comprises a significant 57 percent of the company’s local workforce at the corporate headquarters in Naples, FL.

During a special event honoring the occasion, Schmieding commended AMI leadership and noted the creation of close to 700 new manufacturing jobs since 2002.  With the addition of Arthrex’s new 190,000 square-foot surgical device and implant manufacturing facility in eastern Collier County near Ave Maria, FL, between 400 and 500 additional manufacturing jobs will be created by 2016.  It is truly a remarkable success story for Arthrex, the Southwest Florida community and the country!
