Los sets de tubos para corte de donantes y receptores desechables del sistema de transferencia para autoinjerto osteocondral (OATS) facilitan la obtención de cilindros de cartílago osteocondral/hialino de diversos diámetros de un sitio donante superior y lateral a la muesca o por encima del surco terminal. Se crea un orificio receptor, de la profundidad adecuada, en el defecto condral para aceptar el injerto donante. El cilindro de hueso se inserta con un sistema de provisión de pins centradores para fijación de ajuste por presión. La obtención y la profundidad de inserción se controlan con marcas de 5 mm de profundidad. La colocación final del cilindro cosechado, al ras con el cartílago articular circundante, se logra con un medidor/nivelador de diámetro apenas más grande.

Procedure

The disposable donor and recipient cutting tube sets of the Osteochondral Autograft Transfer System (OATS) kit facilitate harvesting osteochondral/hyaline cartilage cylinders of various diameters from a donor site superior and lateral to the notch or above the sulcus terminalis.
 
Sized to the proper depth to accept the donor graft, a recipient socket is created in the chondral defect, which is often located in the femoral condyle. The osteochondral autograft core is inserted with a collared pin delivery system for press-fit fixation. Harvest and insertion depths are controlled with depth markings. Final seating of the harvested cylinder, flush with the surrounding articular cartilage, is achieved with a slightly larger-diameter sizer/tamp.
