BTB ACL Reconstruction Using the BTB TightRope® II Implant and InternalBrace™ Technique

Justin J. Mitchell, MD (La Crosse, WI), demonstrates a bone-patellar tendon-bone (BTB) ACL reconstruction using FiberTape® suture for the InternalBrace™ technique. Dr. Mitchell explains how to properly assemble the new BTB TightRope® II implant to the graft, fixates the tibial side of the graft with a BioComposite FastThread™ interference screw, and fixates the FiberTape suture for the InternalBrace technique with the ACL Backup Kit using a 4.75 mm BioComposite SwiveLock® anchor.

The InternalBrace surgical technique is intended only to augment the primary repair/reconstruction by expanding the area of tissue approximation during the healing period and is not intended as a replacement for the native ligament. The InternalBrace technique is for use during soft tissue-to-bone fixation procedures and is not cleared for bone-to-bone fixation.
