Founder and President Reinhold Schmieding accepted the award on behalf of the company after giving the keynote address. He explained that while Arthrex is growing globally at a rapid pace, the company is committed to Collier County. Arthrex is expected to have a $1.67 billion economic impact on the community by 2020, according to a study completed by The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.

Reinhold said taking care of employees is the foundation of Arthrex’s success.

“We’re all privileged to be business owners,” he told the audience. “It’s my belief that you take the employees that work for you and you make them the stars. Our philosophy is to treat everyone the same. Whether they are on our custodial staff or they are a vice president, we treat everyone the same. We’re a family. Our employees see that and appreciate that. I get to go to work every day and be around happy people because they know their contributions are valued.”
