Arthrex Tackles Heart Disease

Arthrex was this year’s signature sponsor of the American Heart Association 2008 Collier County Heart Walk on November 1 at Cambier Park in Naples.

Arthrex recruited over 130 team members to participate in the Heart Walk and raised more than $16,000 to support research and education for heart disease and stroke prevention. Individual fundraising, vendor sponsorships, ice cream socials and a 50/50 raffle helped Arthrex exceed its initial fundraising goal of $10,000.

With a football-inspired theme of “Tackle Heart Disease” Arthrex team walkers wore red and white football jerseys during the event. Additionally, the Arthrex jerseys won first place in the annual Heart Walk t-shirt contest judged by Naples Mayor Bill Barnett.
